Frequently asked questions
The questions we get asked most, before creating your child's universe.
Each of your child's episodes is written especially for them, from their first name, age, siblings, companions, and the universes they chose, using an artificial-intelligence text-generation model. The theme catalog is closed, which limits what can be told.
You can, and the story will often be fine. It gets harder the next night: you write the request again, give the names and the stuffed toy again, sum up the previous episode, then check that nothing will scare them. Lulio does that for you. A saga has three to seven episodes, each episode ends on a calm note, and the next part is ready at the time you picked.
Yes. On a computer, the Print button on each episode puts it on paper, without the app's buttons. You read in bed from the sheet, like a book, and the phone stays in another room.
The first episode is free. You build your child's universe, their first episode is written right away and you read it that same evening, no card needed. The subscription is offered at the end of the setup, to read what comes next: you can skip it and subscribe later. It can be cancelled in one click, from your parent area.
The service is designed for ages 2 to 10. The tone, length, and plot complexity follow the age you enter.
You choose: 5, 10, or 15 minutes of reading aloud. For the youngest, the five-minute stories are written in one-line sentences, one or two per page. It's adjustable at any time, episode by episode.
An arc of 3 to 7 episodes built around your child: the same characters, a thread that moves forward, an ending. When one saga finishes, another begins, in the themes you've chosen.
Two buttons at the bottom of the story. A thumbs-down asks why in one tap (too long, too simple, too scary, off-topic, doesn't add up), and the following episodes take it into account.
With the Solo plan, stories follow one hero: their siblings, pets, and stuffed toys appear as characters, and you can switch heroes from the settings without losing the stories already read. With the Family plan (€19.99 per month, VAT included), up to two children each get their own stories, written for their age.
Yes. Every episode stays in your child's history, including finished sagas, and can be reread whenever you like.
By card, through Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe: Lulio never has access to them and doesn't store them. In the Android app, payment can go through Google Play. The Solo plan is €12.99 per month and the Family plan €19.99, VAT included, renewed automatically until cancellation.
What Lulio keeps: your child's first name and age range, the universes they chose, and what you tell us about their siblings and companions so they can appear as characters. No photo, no last name, no address, no school. That data is hosted in France, handled in line with the GDPR, and erased 7 days after you delete your account. Nothing is resold or used for advertising profiles. The details are on the privacy policy page.
From your parent area, a button opens subscription management (the Stripe portal): cancellation happens there, at any time, with no reason and no notice to give.
Yes, on Android: the Lulio app is free on Google Play. It gives access to the same account as the website, and can send you a notification when the next episode is ready. On iPhone, or on a computer, Lulio is read in the browser, with nothing to install.
Through the contact form on the site: name, email, message. We reply directly by email.
The site exists in English and French. Your child's stories are written in the language set on your account, from the settings in your parent area: changing it changes the language of the episodes that follow.
